Indiana Kelley Launches Hybrid MBA for PhysiciansIndiana University's Kelley School of Business has announced that it will launch a specialized MBA for physicians this fall. In addition to covering core busienss curriculum like supply chain management and accounting, the "Business of Medicine MBA" will cover six specialized areas in health care: collaboration, innovation, analytics, transformation, optimization and sustainability. The program is designed to help physicians navigate the increasingly complicated world of health care delivery. According to an IU Kelley press release, "challenges span the institutional spectrum, including implementing the Affordable Care Act, reducing costs while improving patient outcomes, enabling innovation under cost pressures and managing the migration of private practices into larger medical networks." The program will be delivered in a hybrid format, with half the courses delivered online and half during weekends in residence.
